Artist's Statement

When I paint I feel driven by a higher
power: I lose touch with reality and feel
inspired by something powerful. It's a
feeling unlike any other. It makes me
wonder if there are spirits
at work when I paint.
It's a wonderful feeling.

Watercolor painting feels exciting
and enlivening. It was a joy to
discover my passion for this art
later in my life. I always look
forward to the challenge of a
new landscape or building..

Coursework in drawing and painting
solidified my love for watercolor.
My studies with Kwan Wu, Hugh
Walkinshaw, Ken Hosmer, Ed
Fenendael, John Tupa (Tucson, AZ)
and Jean Kalin have inspired
and informed my work..
